Trump, in Las Vegas to host a fundraiser for Mitt Romney on Tuesday, took issue with Blitzer’s introduction and a CNN report that ran before the interview, both of which asserted that Trump, real estate mogul and reality show star, is standing by his birther comments. Trump claimed he agreed to the “Situation Room” interview to talk about jobs, China and OPEC; Blitzer said there were no such ground rules. (more…)

What happens when Monsanto’s modified creations get out of hand and threaten the biosphere with mutated ‘super weeds’ that continue to suffocate farmland across the entire planet? Experts call upon farmers and government officials to return to traditional sustainable farming practices — the kind without Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide. It was recently reported by the media (despite them always being quite, and NaturalSociety and others reporting on this extensively back in 2011) that a “fast-spreading plague” of the super weeds is spreading and they will not be stopped easily.
The super resistant weeds threaten not only independent family farmers and major agricultural businesses alike, but also the future of food production. Experts are now calling for a radical change in farming practices, with time-tested traditional methods being the ultimate goal. In addition, weed scientists seek to hold a ‘summit’ or panel of sorts to address the issue in Washington. As a leading task force member who is working with the USDA on the issue stated, this is a bi-product of rampant biotechnology that must be remedied by returning to traditional norms. (more …)
(AP) WASHINGTON – More than 2,000 people who were falsely convicted of serious crimes have been exonerated in the United States in the past 23 years, according to a new archive compiled at two universities. There is no official record-keeping system for exonerations of convicted criminals in the country, so academics set one up. The new national registry, or database, painstakingly assembled by the University of Michigan Law School and the Center on Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern University School of Law, is the most complete list of exonerations ever compiled.
The database compiled and analyzed by the researchers contains information on 873 exonerations for which they have the most detailed evidence. The researchers are aware of nearly 1,200 other exonerations, for which they have less data. They found that those 873 exonerated defendants spent a combined total of more than 10,000 years in prison, an average of more than 11 years each. Nine out of 10 of them are men and half are African-American. (more…)

NFL rookies took a big hit last year with the latest Collective Barganing Agreement. Gone are the days of first-round draft picks like Sam Bradford making $78 million dollars over six years. Instead, Cam Newton, the first overall pick in 2011 NFL draft, signed with the Carolina Panthers for a “measly $22 million” dollars over four years.
Let’s keep things in perspective. Most NFL rookies will make more money than any of us will ever dream of. What do they do with it? Do they buy dream cars or houses? Do they take care of their families? What about the bank?

If you saw the Avengers you saw amazing technology of comic book heroes in effect.
It was almost as if you were reading a comic book since the CGI and animation made everything so real.
However if we look back to this 80″s clip of Hulk vs Thor we can see how corny and cheesy our entertainment was compared to watching Hulk vs Thor in 2012 Avengers movie.
I guess you realize how spoiled this generation is in terms of special effects in a film.
