SCANDALS:Snoop,Juelz Santana,P-Diddy,Jay Z & Governor Patterson
It wasn’t a very happy 27th birthday for singer Juelz Santana: accordong to the New York Daily News his blowout bash on Monday night was ruined by Snoop Dogg and several other rowdy partygoers.
An insider spotted Snoop arriving at the fete at M2 Ultralounge with an entourage of more than 20 and a four-man security team, which clogged W. 29th St. so badly that the NYPD came to investigate.
“Snoop’s caravan was beyond outrageous,” says the spy. “It was taking up the entire block.”
The scene was so disastrous that police closed the street before many guests had even arrived.
Among the friends of Santana unable to get through the mess was none other than Diddy, who was to host the evening.
“When Diddy saw how chaotic it was, he refused to get out of the car,” the insider says. “He said he’d come back later, but never did.”
That’s probably a good thing. More chaos ensued inside the club when a partygoer knocked a bottle off a VIP table, sending glass flying and triggering a major brawl.
“There was a fight that took over much of the VIP area, and because it was so crowded, it took a little while to break up,” the source says, adding that both Santana (who sings the hit “There It Go”) and rapper Maino were near the altercation but didn’t get involved. “It was total madness.”
The only person who DID have a good time? The oblivious Snoop, who held court at his own table and was seen dancing with Lil’ Kim while security removed the brawlers.
But he did make it up to his buddy Santana by the end of the night. An M2 insider says Snoop bought $8,000 worth of Champagne for the singer’s table before leaving with his entourage but all that is light stuff compared to what is happening with a federal investigation of Jay Z that ties into a BIG deal.According to the New York Post, the rap mogul’s involvement with the Aqueduct Entertainment Group (AEG)—the consortium chosen to run a multi-billion dollar race track/casino at the Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens and his connection with New York state Governor David Patterson —has ignited a federal investigation.
According to reports, authorities are more than skeptical about the selection of AEG to operate the new venture and what role Jay played in swaying New York Governor David Patterson’s decision.
Paterson, who is known for having a relationship with the 40-year-old rapper—has a seven percent stake in AEG and according to sources, knew that Jay-Z had been trying to get involved with the investment since last year. One source reportedly told the Post that Jay eventually linked up with casino mogul Steve Wynn, who at the time was bidding for control.
According to reports [Gov.] Patterson advised Wynn that “he needed to have a minority partner” and that is when, according to sources, Wynn reached out to Jay-Z. But when Wynn pulled out, Jay-Z was without a home.

The source then claims that when Wynn’s deal went sour, AEG scooped up Jay to appeal to the governor.
AEG denies that it tapped the Hip-Hop heavyweight to win the governor’s favor.
“Given [Jay-Z's] superstardom and his long and deep connection to New York, the partners thought he could bring a unique perspective to shaping a facility that would truly be an entertainment destination,” AEG spokesman Jonathan Rosen told the New York Post. “The partners were looking to bring in someone who could bring marketing and community advice to the team.”
