Rapper Drake appeared in concert at Jones Beach Saturday, days after he was involved in a nightclub brawl with fellow musician Chris Brown.

Hip-hop rivals Chris Brown and Drake turned a New York City nightclub into a war zone that sent four innocent bystanders to the hospital early Thursday when they started a brutal brawl over the pop music diva Rihanna. One of the club-goers caught in the middle was Hollie C, an Australian tourist who was rushed to Bellevue Hospital after she was smashed in the head with a flying bottle during the fight. She needed 16 stitches to close the wound.

Witnesses say the two recording stars started fighting after Chris Brown sent Drake a bottle of Champagne as a peace offering. Drake reportedly sent the bottle back with a note: ‘I’m f****** the love of your life, deal with it.’

Chris Brown, 23, dated Rihanna until she dumped him after he savagely beat her on the eve of her performance at the Grammy Awards in 2009. After their breakup, the beauty from Barbados was romantically linked with rapper Drake. Reports indicate Rihanna, 24, is in the process of getting back together with Chris Brown. The New York Police Department is investigating the fight, which broke out at Club W.i.P in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan.

A spokesman said investigators believe Chris Brown, his bodyguard and a woman with him were trying to leave the club about 4am when they were confronted by five members of Drake’s posse.

A raging and shirtless Chris Brown stormed out of Good Morning America’s Times Square studio Tuesday, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

“He was visibly upset and appeared livid after the interview,” the source said, of Brown’s being asked about his 2009 felony assault case involving his then-girlfriend Rihanna.

During an interview pegged to the release of his new album F.A.M.E., Brown, 21, told GMA anchor Robin Roberts, “It’s not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation. I think I’m past that in my life. Today’s the album day, so that’s what I’m focused on.”

Yet when Roberts inquired of the legal issues still stemming from the case, Brown said, “This album is what I want people to hear and people to really get into, so definitely this album is what I want them to talk about and not stuff that happened two years ago.”

After the interview, Brown performed a number, then, according to local affiliate WABC, went into his dressing room, and reportedly screamed and started to tear apart the room. Security reportedly was summoned. (more…)

Why so serious?

Sad news is in abundance this week, starting with the former prince of pop Chris Brown. Brown, who has been vying for a way to revitalize his career following his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, has resorted to desperate measures to stage his comeback.

The 20-year-old singer-dancer, who plead guilty to felony assault and is on probation for five years, recorded an audio message Wednesday on Say Now asking his fans to “bring [him] back.” (more…)
