There is a Hole in the New York skyline! By now we're all aware of the bugged s#!t that went down in N.Y.C. and Washington D.C. The famous site of the World Trade Center towering over the lower Manhattan skyline is no more. To say the least, the sight of a passenger 757 crashing into the south tower was shocking, disturbing, amazing. I knw that $#!+ tripped me the hell out! My jaw was agape for most of the day. I have never in my young life seen New York City so gotdamned quiet. I went shopping for necessities and the streets weren't bare, folks were out there, they were just silent. F$*king stunned is probably a more appropriate term. You could hear yourself breathe. It was like a f$*king graveyard. The loss of life from this terrorist undertaking is phenomenal. I can't think of a more horrific event in my lifetime taking place on U.S. soil. The death toll will no doubt stretch into the thousands. I hear they were, even as early as last night, identifying bodies brought into St. Vincent's hospital via damned dental records. That means that the bodies they are locating are beyond any sort of visual recognition. And rescue workers weren't even a fourth of the way through the rubble then. Now let's get down to brass tacks. The fact that this attack has even taken place with such precision is a massive effin' wake up call to the country on a whole. The United States is a wealthy, bloated bureaucracy which was under the impression that no terrorist agents could penetrate its' borders. How f$*king safe should I feel now?! Instead four separate teams of hi-jackers coordinated the single most devastating assault ever on inland America. To imagine that The PENTAGON itself was struck is beyond phenomenal. How the f$*k does The PENTAGON fall prey to terrorist attack? This is the very foundation of American defense and protection; the cock diesel arm that shoves the rest of the world around. If you think that it was ever a hassle to simply fly to see your 'nanna' before, just you wait. Rest assured though, not many will complain about it - at first. After a time muthaf$*kas are going to be bitchin' all over again. One thing you can be sure of though is that SOMEBODY IS GONNA GET IT. Currently that somebody is the notorious Nation X. That's right! Nation X, that foul, rogue country without a shape, the nation with no name, is in the crosshairs. I know the s#!t sounds absurd, but this is a term that I actually heard used on the radio. So basically that means that the United States is looking to bust some Arab ass. Even on television the images of Palestinians celebrating in the streets and s#!t was both overplayed and overstated. When I heard about it, I just knew there were throngs of Palestinians partying up on the Gaza strip, burning U.S. flags and all kinds of s#!t. Instead, I saw a small cluster of people firing off machine guns into the sky, and or clapping and celebrating. That's tasteless and crass, but it ain't the whole f$*kin' nation. The media would impress upon me that the entire nation of Palestine had a holiday and a big ass party. The last thing a situation like this needs is irresponsible journalism. In a sea of spectacular coverage of such a life-defining event, that was the single rotten fish. Hell, for all I know, that could have been file footage. In fact, that small bit of irresponsible journalism served it's misguided purpose, as a Pakistani man was attacked and beaten in Suffolk County, Long Island in an apparent bias crime. I'm sure the United States has other, non-Arab, enemies that may have celebrated yesterday's events, yet no camera's were available to film their glee. To use this tragic event in order to demonize an entire people is shortsighted and lends to the possibility that the actual culprits may have excess time to sink deeper into the network of terrorist agents. Of course the United States will go to war over this attack. The question is, will we war against a proper target, or will we be bombing the notorious Nation X? And then to top all this s#!t off, NATO has gone and invoked article five. For all you blunt smoking a$$es out there who have trouble retaining information, write this down: Article five of the NATO agreement states that an attack against ONE NATO Nation, is viewed as an attack against ALL NATO members. This article has not been invoked in some fifty f$*king years. Can you dig it, Jack? Can you say massive aerial strikes? These muthaf$*kas are about to drop more bombs than me in my flag football tournament, believe that shit. I'm Gumby Dammitt, and I know what the f$*k I'm talking about. Now go get me cigarette and a girly magazine. The views and opinions expressed herein by the author do not necessarily represent the opinions or position of Playahata.com. |
